Here you go, Dad. The snow pictures. It began a fine snow in the morning as Scott headed out for work and continued on into the evening, though it's now quit.
Also a couple pictures of our tree and my attempt at window art. It was a fun time-waster....
Finally, we have window coverings up! The kitchen will wait, but we now have privacy in the bedrooms and living room/eating area. That's nice. Scott did a great job hanging them all. He's finishing up the last of the blinds now. YES, it's very late for that. It's been a long day.

WOW!! BEAUTIFUL snow pictures!! I'm thinking, especially since a trip north this year isn't in the plan, that your family was especially appreciative of the short-lived blessing of some snow. I'd send you some in a box if I thought it'd stay frozen; we certaily have some to spare, though not as much as our loved ones in MT!! :)
Your tree is lovely! I hear you about decorating for Christmas being a fun time-waster. The perspective I'm lately trying to see it from is that this is a tradition, and traditions help preserve culture. It provides a measure of comfort and pleasantness, it is an opportunity to teach lots of different lessons (from teamwork to physics to geometry to handling fragile things carefully), and ... without all the hoopla Christmas would be 'just another day' -- there's a new country song out to that effect. It's nice to have some days be special. :) It gives us something to look forward to for a time, and remember more vividly, maybe. :)
Congratulations on window coverings! This is a good time of year to get them on ... much appreciated. ;) We have window covering issues in this house; thankfully the neighborhood is ssso quiet and private, and the house's layout conducive to privacy, that it's not a concern. Yay.
Thanks for another post that is a bright spot in my day! Hugs, sf
